Terms of service
These terms govern your use of the RUENCE storefront and your purchase of RUENCE products. The document has two parts. The first part, Terms of Use, covers your use of the site and your account. The second part, Terms of Purchase, covers the contract formed when you buy a RUENCE product. Both parts paste into the single Terms of service slot and apply together.
RUENCE is operated by SIGNATURE FVSHION PRIVATE LIMITED (Corporate Identity Number U14101TS2026PTC216292). The storefront is powered by Shopify.
By using this storefront or by placing an order, you agree to the part or parts that apply to what you are doing.
Part A. Terms of Use
1. Acceptance of these terms
By visiting, browsing, or using this storefront, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Your continued use of the storefront is your acceptance of these terms as they stand at the time of use.
2. Intellectual property
The storefront, its editorial content, its photography, its written copy, the RUENCE name, and the RUENCE designs are owned by RUENCE or licensed to it, and are protected under Indian and international law. You may view and share the content for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, or use the content for commercial purposes without RUENCE's written permission.
3. Your account
When you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for the activity that happens under your account. Tell RUENCE promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission. RUENCE may suspend or close an account that is used in breach of these terms.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use this storefront lawfully and in good faith. You agree not to interfere with the site's operation, not to attempt unauthorised access to any part of it, not to introduce malicious code, and not to use it to infringe the rights of others or to break the law.
5. Third-party links
The storefront may link to sites RUENCE does not control. RUENCE provides those links for convenience and does not endorse or take responsibility for the content, products, or practices of any third-party site. Visiting a linked site is at your own risk and subject to that site's own terms.
6. Limitation of liability and security
The storefront and its content are provided on an as-is and as-available basis. RUENCE uses reasonable security practices to protect the storefront and your data, but no website or system is perfectly secure, and RUENCE cannot guarantee absolute security. To the extent permitted by the Indian Contract Act 1872 and the Information Technology Act 2000, RUENCE is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or from events beyond its reasonable control, and RUENCE's total liability in connection with your use of the site is limited to the amount you paid, if any, for the transaction giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under Indian law, including liability under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 or the Consumer Protection Act 2019. How RUENCE handles personal data and data breaches is set out in the Privacy Policy.
7. Changes to these terms
RUENCE may update these Terms of Use as the storefront or the law changes. The version published in Shopify Admin is the version that applies. Your continued use of the site after a change is your acceptance of the updated terms.
8. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of India. The courts in India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from your use of the storefront, subject to the dispute-resolution process described in Part B for purchase-related disputes.
Part B. Terms of Purchase
1. When the purchase contract is formed
Placing an order is an offer to buy. The purchase contract is formed only when RUENCE accepts your order, which RUENCE does by sending an order confirmation that the items have been accepted for fulfilment. The contract is formed at acceptance, not at the moment you place the order. RUENCE may decline an order, for example where an item is unavailable or where a pricing error is identified, and will tell you and refund any amount taken if it does.
2. Pricing and tax
Prices are shown in the currency stated at checkout and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. The price that applies is the price shown at the time RUENCE accepts your order. RUENCE's registration details are:
- Legal entity: SIGNATURE FVSHION PRIVATE LIMITED
- CIN: U14101TS2026PTC216292
- GSTIN: [BRAND_GSTIN]
If a genuine pricing error is identified before acceptance, RUENCE will not be bound by the incorrect price and will give you the choice to confirm at the correct price or to cancel.
3. Payment methods
RUENCE accepts the payment methods shown at checkout, which may include cards, net banking, the Unified Payments Interface, and other methods the payment processor supports. Payment is handled by the payment processor; RUENCE does not store your card details.
4. Order cancellation
You may cancel an order before it is dispatched by contacting RUENCE through the contact panel as soon as possible. Once an order has been dispatched, it is handled under the returns process in the Shipping and Returns policy. Made-to-order pieces cannot be cancelled once production has begun, because they are cut for you. RUENCE may cancel an order before acceptance as described in section 1.
5. Returns
Returns are covered in full by the RUENCE Shipping and Returns policy, available at /policies/shipping-policy. That policy states the return window in business days from delivery, the condition items must be in, the process to follow, and how refunds are issued. Please read it before you buy.
6. Made-to-order exceptions
Made-to-order pieces are cut and sewn for you after you order. Because they are produced to your order, they are not eligible for return or exchange except where the item is faulty or not as described. Sale-tagged pieces are also not eligible for return. These exceptions are set out in the Shipping and Returns policy and are stated again here so they are clear before purchase.
7. Defect handling and your consumer rights
Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 2019 are not affected by these terms. If an item reaches you faulty, not as described, or not of satisfactory quality, you are entitled to a remedy under that Act. Contact RUENCE through the contact panel with your order number and a description of the issue, and RUENCE will arrange a repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate. RUENCE handles defect claims promptly and in good faith.
8. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms of Purchase are governed by the laws of India, including the Consumer Protection Act 2019. RUENCE asks that you raise any dispute with it first through the contact panel so it can try to resolve the matter directly. Where a dispute cannot be resolved that way, it may be referred to the consumer dispute redressal forum with jurisdiction, and the courts in India have jurisdiction subject to your rights as a consumer under Indian law. Notices to RUENCE may be sent to privacy@ruence.com.
