Caring for your RUENCE

A little care keeps each piece at its best. Find yours by name or by cloth.

A few rules for every piece

  • Wash cool and gentle. Heat is what ages a garment, not wear.
  • Dry in shade, away from direct sun. Reshape while damp.
  • Iron inside out, and never press directly on a print.
  • Fold knits rather than hanging them, so the shoulders keep their line.
  • Wash less. Air a piece between wears and spot-clean where you can.

Cotton

The cloth of The Moiré Polo

A cotton jacquard knit, with texture worked into the cloth. Everyday-easy, and forgiving in the wash.

Wash
Cold or cool machine wash, 30C, gentle cycle. Do not bleach.
Dry
Tumble dry low, or air dry in shade. Reshape while damp.
Iron
Warm iron, inside out. Press the jacquard lightly so the texture holds.
Store
Fold and keep dry.

Lunar Knit

The cloth of The Makara Tee, The Riviera Shirt

Lunar Knit, our printed performance knit. 95% polyester and 5% elastane, with stretch and a clean recovery. The print is the piece, so treat it gently.

Wash
Cold or warm wash, 40C max, gentle cycle. Do not bleach.
Dry
Tumble dry low, or air dry. Reshape while damp.
Iron
Cool iron. Do not iron the print directly, and use no steam on the print.
Store
Fold and keep dry, out of direct sun.

Lyocell

A pure Lyocell, fine and fluid with a quiet drape. It likes a gentle wash and a flat dry.

Wash
Cold wash, 30C max, gentle cycle. Do not bleach.
Dry
Dry flat in shade and reshape while damp. Do not wring.
Iron
Medium iron, inside out. No steam on the print.
Store
Fold or hang on a wide hanger. Keep dry.

Supima Cotton

The cloth of The Airy Blue Polo, The Megh Malhar Tee, The Mousson Shirt, The Vela Polo

A long-staple Supima cotton, soft to the hand and built for daily wear. It takes a cool wash well and holds its colour out of the sun.

Wash
Cold or cool machine wash, 30C, gentle cycle. Do not bleach.
Dry
Tumble dry low, or air dry in shade. Reshape while damp.
Iron
Medium iron, inside out.
Store
Fold and keep dry. Give it air between wears.
